It is a very nice watch so far, but it does in fact have some metal which touches the skin. Although it can't be seen in the image, there is a clasp and it is metal and of course lies on my wrist. So far, it has not bothered my skin, which is unusual, so possibly it is low in nickel. Also, the clasp does not have a safety catch so there is a possibility of loss (the reason that I had to buy this, as my previous hypoallergenic watches always had bad clasps), though so far it seems sturdy enough.

My 4 or 5 year old dream of owning one of these beautiful wood watches came to fruition once I found the Carbide Processors website. The particular model I wanted was available through this firm and furthermore, included free shipping and extremely low prices. I purchased the watch hoping it would be the beautiful wood watch I had been wanting. From some of my dealings with websites, I had become discouraged with online companies. I first saw the price and then saw the free shipping and just felt and thought it was too good to be true. But I received my beautiful watch in about 1 week and just couldn't believe my eyes. I would highly recommend this firm to anyone that may be interested in any of their various products and especially the Tense Wood Watches.
